Gamelan Singamurti’s four-track EP Nunas Taksu (Seeking Guidance) takes the listener on a journey into a singular sonic world that contributes as much to gamelan as it draws from it. The result is an innovative sound simultaneously venerating origins and originality. Cello, clarinet, vocals, and studio manipulation create radical new textures that sit comfortably alongside common gamelan performance styles.
